Ad ranking in Google Adwords is calculated by multiplying the maximum CPC by the quality level of the keyword that has activated the ad. The ads then will be shown in a decreasing order, by their respective rankings: the ad with the higher ranking will be first, and so on. This is the formula to calculate ad ranking:Ranking = Maximum CPC x Quality Level
